Title: 9n Ford Tractor Electrical Problems
Post by: rval164 on November 15, 2012, 05:46:00 PM
While using my 9n tractor my battery went dead.  I realized the battery was not being charged while it was running.  Thinking it was the battery, I bought a new battery, but that didn't fix the problem.  I changed the voltage cut out, no luck.  I think I need a new generator for the tractor.  Where is the best place to get reasonable parts for the tractor.  How do you find part numbers.  I think I have a 1946 -47 tractor. Serial number 9n-243131.  Most catalogs don't list the later year models for parts. Any help you can give me, I would appreciate it.

The NAPA stores in Oklahoma are a good local source for me. I would consider going 12V and alternator now before you start buying parts. Seeing that it has been 6 months since your original post I am curious where you are in your endeavor.
