9N Serial Number

I have found my 9N serial number on the left side of the engine block but I am now confused.  The serial number si 9N144675 (or something like this).  The number is far greater than the serial numbers supposedly built.  What is correct?

It looks like you have a 1944 2N Ford tractor....

Serial numbers for the 9N and 2N were in the same sequence. They did not start over as they did with other models.  All serial numbers began with 9N even 2N models.
