9N PTO SHAFT
« on: September 24, 2007, 11:16:24 AM »
Hi,
I'm new at this, so please bear with me.
I was using a brush hog last weekend and managed to twist-off the PTO shaft...again.
I replaced it once several years ago, but cannot remember how to do it.
The manual shows me the parts, but is it as simple as removing the bolts that hold the shaft, slide it out, and after replacing the bearings, etc, slide it back in?
Any info you can give, including where to find a new shaft, would be most appreciated!

I don't khow about the fixing the shaft but you might want to know there is a free wheeling PTO adapter that allows the brush hog to spin without pushing the tractor with the engine off.
