9N Carb Identification
« on: March 17, 2009, 08:29:37 AM »
I want to rebuild the carb on my 9N.  I find that there are several kits available depending on which carb is on the tractor.  Is there a way to ID the carb before it is taken off.  I need to use the tractor and didn't want to have it apart waiting on parts to come. It's a Marvel carb but I don't see any numbers.

Should be a little brass tag on it. It will say TSX 33.

where you guys find carb kits from? I picked up a buddies 9n and am gonna help him get it going. Noticed the other day that when we were trying to get it going that gas was coming out the air side of the carb. Once we rolled engine over a few times or as it was cranking. Sticking Float? I was wondering also how easy it was to find a carb kit.
