Title: 9N rpm
Post by: rs on January 14, 2008, 07:47:31 AM
I am in the process of buying a 9N. The only thing that scares me is that it never seems to really rev up. Does the 9N have an rpm governor?

A governor controls your engine speed. If the load drops off, the throttle plate closes and if the load picks up, the throttle plate opens. Most industrial and commercial engines have this feature where spinning flyweights and a spring pressure control the engine speed.Your throttle lever controls the spring setting.
