9N,2N,8N, Ford Tractors / 1947 2N hydraulics go up but not down, suggestions?

This winter I went out to push snow and the blade will go up but not back down.  It will go down very slowly but it take four or five minutes to do so?  It did this several years ago, I just jumped on the blade and it went down and has never done it again?  Thanks in advance for any help.
