low power under load
« on: July 11, 2007, 09:11:02 PM »
I finally go my 9n started, but can't seem to be able to get the power up under a load. I have changed the coil pack, dist. cap, plugs, wires, points and condensor. I have the gap set at .015 and I think the timing is set correctly, but am not sure. It has been converted to a 12v system and I don't know if that has anything to do with it, although everything appears to working fine with that. Any suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks,
Gy

Check the fuel line flowto the carburator. The float level may need to be reset when you clean the carb. The gas tank valve may not be fully open. Gas filter screen is dirty. Spark plug wires may be installed wrong. These are some of my problems I found.
