9N Serial Number

I'm ashamed to admit that I have forgotten where to find the serial number on these styles of machines.  I have also forgotten how to tell the difference between the 9N and 2N tractors.  It was only 30 years ago when I needed to remember this information!  Anyone have any information for me?

If 2N has original badging, it will have "2N' stamped below "Ford" on the front name badge.
