I've had my Ford 8N for over a year and for the first time am trying to take the brush hog that it came with off of it. Everything seems simple but I'm left with the 2 foot or so shaft leading from the PTO hanging there. Clearly that needs to come off but I'm stuck. There is a spring loaded "lock"? that seems to want to allow this shaft to slide off the spline - but it seems hung up on something. The only other option is an allen screw - which is also stuck - but that does not seem logical as the way to disconnect the shaft. I could include pictures but hope this offers enough of a description.
Any ideas?
